Hosted at the historical Ribault Club, Avery and Danny’s wedding was full of romantic candlelight, traditional elements, and royal flair. I absolutely loved photographing this wedding, and can’t wait for you to see their gallery!
GETTING READY
The Ribault Club is nestled within Fort George Island, surrounded by lush marshland and wildlife. You might even catch a peek at a peacock or two wandering around the property! Avery and Danny fell in love with the property’s charm and history.
Getting ready is always such a fun part of the day to photograph. The energy in the room is full of excitement, the ladies are playing music and chatting together… it really is the calm before the storm!
THE LITTLE THINGS
Details, details, details! Avery planned and designed her wedding. One of her biggest visions for her wedding was incorporating jewel-tones and fresh fruit such as pomegranates, grapes, and apples into her floral elements to make them one-of-a-kind! She even designed her wedding stationery!
Avery’s inspiration for her bridal look was timeless, elegant, and royal. With that dress, I think she did just that!
As you can see, flowers were a huge part of Avery and Danny’s wedding decor!
THE BRIDE
After getting ready, it was time for the veil to go on! Of course, we had mom place the veil in Avery’s hair as they shared a sweet moment together. I love capturing the beautiful relationship of mother and daughter!
Bridal portraits are such a HUGE part of wedding photography. I always want to make sure we get plenty of gorgeous close-ups of the bride and her bouquet!
One of the biggest surprises for Avery on her wedding day was how emotional she got with her parents. As soon as she and her mom started taking photos, she burst into happy tears!
Avery and Danny’s wedding day was full of emotional and heartwarming moments, just look at the first look with Avery’s dad!
THE GROOM
I can’t forget about the handsome groom! Danny was looking dapper in his blue suit, which paired amazingly with the flowers. Danny was definitely not nervous at all, and couldn’t wait to get the party started!
This moment between Danny and his mom was so tender. Capturing these familial relationships is so important on your wedding day! Don’t forget to carve out time in your timeline for these special photos.
Danny and his groomsmen were having an awesome time while taking these photos! I love getting candid shots of the boys just having fun and being themselves. Danny gave each of his groomsmen Marvel socks with a hero that matches with their personalities…it was such a nice touch!
THE FIRST LOOK
The first look was Danny’s most anticipated part of the wedding day, and it did not disappoint!
During their first look, Danny and Avery also decided to share their personal vows to one another in an intimate setting. This added such a romantic and emotional element to the tradition!
Doing a first look also calmed Avery’s nerves. After seeing her soon-to-be husband, she wasn’t scared anymore about being in front of everyone during the ceremony!
Avery and Danny wanted to incorporate some editorial style photography into their couple portraits. The one above is one of Avery’s favorites from the entire day!
THE BIG REVEAL
For any bride who decides to plan her own wedding, seeing it all come together is a HUGE deal! The ballroom transformed into a beautiful reception space perfect for celebrating with all of their family and friends.
Many of Avery and Danny’s decor items were handmade by the bride herself or had sentimental value. Avery made the welcome sign and seating chart (complete with a song lyric from her favorite artist).
Their wedding cake was made by the maid of honor’s mom. How special is that? The couple also had a memorial table in honor of loved ones they wish could’ve been present for their special day. The tea cart for the memorial is Danny’s grandmother’s, and has been in the family for generations. Such touching details!
Finally, Avery and Danny had a voice-message guest book instead of the traditional pen and paper. Guests were able to pick up the phone and leave a message for the bride and groom to listen to later, and treasure forever!
THE BRIDAL PARTY
Avery’s bridal party was such a joy to photograph! Avery’s little sister was even part of the group as a junior bridesmaid.
One of Avery’s biggest pieces of advice to future couples for their wedding day is to not stress about the little details. Everything will fall into place, and each person by your side will help make the day perfect!
THE CEREMONY
It was finally time to get these two married! Avery’s most anticipated part of the day was their wedding ceremony, because that’s when she knew her and Danny would officially be husband and wife.
Their processional song was called “Turning Page” by Sleeping at Last, and was actually recorded by Avery herself! She surprised her family and friends by her voice in the background as she walked down the aisle!
Avery and Danny wanted to incorporate traditional elements into their ceremony. They put together a Unity Cross, took communion, and said traditional vows. It was a beautiful ceremony radiating so much emotion and love!
POST-CEREMONY JOY
After the recessional, Avery and Danny greeted their family members with lots of hugs and laughter! I was so glad to be there in the background, capturing these precious moments for them!
We took a lot of family pictures, some serious and some fun! One of my favorite posing prompts is having everyone pose like an album cover or cheer while the couple kisses. Both are super dynamic and show personality!

THE FIRST DANCE
Now it was time for the first dance, but first we had to introduce everyone to the crowd!
Another cool element of their wedding was the mobile bar! Avery had been following the Unbridled Bar for two years before even getting engaged, and she knew she had to have it at her wedding!
The first dance is such a romantic moment for the wedding couple. Finally, after all of the planning, preparation, and anticipation, they were married! Now they can enjoy the rest of the night and party with their closest people!
IT’S PARTY TIME
After dinner, it was time for speeches and cake! Avery and Danny’s maid of honor and best man gave heartwarming and hilarious speeches that got the entire room laughing!
Then it was time for the mother-son and father-daughter dance, two traditions that this couple was definitely not skipping out on. Watching the bride and groom dance with their parents was such a sweet moment for everyone.
This group seriously knew how to party! After all of the scheduled events were over, Avery and Danny got out on the dance floor. Everyone was dancing, singing, and having an amazing time!
If you’re looking for a fun and unique way to photograph the dance floor, ask me about these pictures! The neon blur is everything!!!
This bride asked me for editorial style pictures, so we snuck away during the reception to get some sneaky elevator shots! You may recognize the pictures below from my viral video on Instagram (@lolulamourphotography) with over 1 MILLION views, or featured on @she_saidyes!
THE LAST DANCE & EXIT
This couple decided to do a private last dance, which was so intimate and romantic! It is such a great way to close out your wedding day.
And of course, they had their grand exit! I love when couples include this in their timeline, it makes for some amazing photographs!
I hope you enjoyed these photos as much as I do! It was such an honor to be a part of Avery and Danny’s special day.
